Volete come noi un capo d’anno senza fuochi artificiali privati? Questa settimana abbiamo chiesto un divieto totale sui fuochi artificiali privati nella camera, non più tardi del 2020. Dobbiamo finire tutte le vittime che spesso sono giovani, come anche i disturbi, i danni e la violenza contro gli addetti dell’ambulanza durante la festa di capo d’anno. Abbiamo iniziato il dibattito nella camera sui fuochi artificiali ed abbiamo il supporto della maggioranza degli olandesi, i sindachi, i medici, la polizia e i vigili di fuoco.

Fortunatamente si oppone ormai una maggioranza nei Paesi Bassi contro la tradizione pericolosa nel nostro paese a cause delle tante vittime e il disturbo gli altri. L’anno scorso il governo ha finalmente deciso, dopo sempre più pressione dalla società, di limitare gli orari in cui possono essere accessi i fuochi artificiali. E’ un passo nella direzione giusta, ma non è una soluzione per il nostro problema. L’unica soluzione è un divieto totale sull’accendere i fuochi artificiali da privati. Ciò potrà essere sostituito da uno spettacolo di fuochi artificiali organizzato da professionisti.

In attesa di tale divieto totale, dobbiamo nel frattempo fare dei passi concreti per limitare le vittime, i disturbi e i danni. Molti comuni vogliono poter instaurare un divieto a livello del comune, ma al momento questo non è possibile. Vogliamo che ai comuni gli viene data questa possibilità invece. Anche gli orari in cui possono essere accesi i fuochi artificiali devono essere limitati drasticamente: solo tra le 23 e l’una di notte il 31 dicembre. Al momento è consentito tra le 18 e le due di notte.

I nostri argomenti sono stati sottolineati ancora di più durante una recente udienza nella camera da medici, sindachi e vigili di fuoco. Anche loro vogliono ulteriori misure con lo scopo finale di raggiungere un divieto totale sui fuochi artificiali privati!

Il nostro partito europeo ha iniziato un progetto per salvare la natura. Tutti possono partecipare! Ed è importante, poiché Bruxelles si è stancata di leggi “ostacoli” che tutelano la natura. La Commissione Europea ha quindi messo su un sito web un sondaggio chiedendo se le leggi per tutelare la natura nella UE sono ancora utili.

Il sondaggio è mirato ad aziende grosse, ma anche tu puoi far sentire la tua voce e far capire l’importanza di continuare di tutelare le zone naturali e gli habitat degli animali nei Paesi Bassi e il resto dell’Europa.!

Ma attenzione, sebbene la legge europea sulla natura non sia perfetta, nelle nostre risposte siamo comunque molto positivi sulle linee guida europee sugli habitat degli uccelli per prevenire un ulteriore peggioramento delle leggi sulla natura.

Di cosa stiamo parlando? Leggi europee e nazionali regolano che le zone naturali devono essere tutelate. Ad esempio non puoi costruire così senza chiedere permessi una fabbrica, un’autostrada o una megastalla in una zona naturale. E questo deve continuare ad essere il caso!

Ma Bruxelles si è stancata dalle leggi per tutelare la natura poiché trova che l’economia debba crescere e nessun albero o animale può fermare tale crescita. La Commissione Europea ha quindi cominciato un’indagine per mettere in dubbio l’utilità di una legge europea sulla natura. Aiutateci a prevenire ciò ed aggiungetevi al progetto niente censura sulla natura!

Venerdì scorso era il giorno mondiale sull’ambiente. Una bella giornata per farci sentire portare l’attenzione un’altra volta sul nostro film One Single Planet!

Do you also wish to have a bang-free New Year’s Eve? Last week in the Lower House, we called for a complete ban on consumer fireworks by 2020 at the latest. The flow of hundreds of mostly very young victims must end, as must the severe inconvenience, the damage running into millions and the violence against aid workers during New Year’s Eve. We are the driving force of the fireworks debate in the Lower House and we receive support from a majority of the Dutch population, mayors, doctors, police and fire brigade.

Fortunately, a majority of the Dutch population now oppose the dangerous firework tradition in our country due to the many casualties and severe inconvenience. Under growing public pressure, the Cabinet finally decided last year to restrict the period in which fireworks can be set off. That is a step in the right direction, but not a solution to the problem. The only solution is a total ban on having fireworks set off by individuals. This could be replaced by a fireworks show organised by professionals.

In the run-up to this total ban, we must now take specific interim action to minimise casualties, inconvenience and damage. Many municipalities want to be able to impose a fireworks ban themselves, but that is currently impossible. We want municipalities to get this freedom indeed. The period in which fireworks may be set off must also be restricted drastically: only between 11pm and 1am on 31 December (it is now permitted between 6pm and 2am).

During a recent hearing in the Lower House, our arguments were further emphasised by doctors, mayors and the fire brigade. They too want more drastic measures, with a total ban on consumer fireworks as the ultimate goal!

Our European faction has started a campaign to save our nature. Everyone can join! And that is desperately needed, too, because Brussels is fed up with ‘difficult’ acts to protect nature. The European Commission has therefore put a survey online with the question whether the EU’s existing acts to protect nature are still useful.

The survey is primarily intended for major companies, but you can also make your voice heard and make it clear that it is important to (continue to) protect nature areas and animals in the Netherlands – and in the rest of Europe!

But please pay attention, even though European nature legislation is not perfect, we are nonetheless very positive in our survey answers with regard to the European Birds and Habitats Directive in order to prevent a further deterioration of nature legislation.

So what is this about exactly? European and national acts regulate that valuable nature areas must be protected. This means, for example, that you cannot just build a factory, motorway or factory farm on the Veluwe countryside or in a dune park. And it has to stay that way!

But Brussels is fed up with the protection of nature because it believes the economy must and will grow and no tree or animal may stand in the way of that growth. The European Commission has therefore launched a research to cast doubt on the use of European nature legislation. Help us to prevent this and join the No censorship on nature! campaign now.
