Bom que o presidente Barack Obama venceu e mais uma vez impediu o pior para os Estados Unidos. Vamos esperar por novas noticias no campo da compaixão e da sustentabilidade. Se você comparar os resultados nos EUA com a situação holandesa o resultado nos EUA seria o seguinte "o eleitor determinou que Obama e Romney terão que fazer tudo juntos." De fato, além da presidência, existem diferentes maiorias na Câmara dos Representantes e no Senado. Neste sentido, podemos falar de "muito barulho pra nada'.

Minha preferencia de voto nesta eleição americana foi para de Jill Stein. Ela era a candidata verde nas eleições. Seu objetivo é de transformar a Casa Branca em uma "casa verde". Eu gostaria de agradecer por ela trazer compaixão e sustentabilidade a campanha! Muito bom!

Um foco maior na sustentabilidade da mudança climática dos EUA não é levemente um luxo. Veja aqui a reconstrução após o furacão Sandy.

Rainha Beatrix visitou a província de Brabante do Norte na última sexta-feira. A rainha participou de uma palestra sobre a agricultura intensiva na província. É bom que a discussão sobre a criação intensiva tenha sido em Brabant e quedurante a visita da rainha a foi dada atenção ao assunto.

Também foi importante a rainha ter visto o quadro completo dos problemas em jogo que se passa em Brabant e, portanto também importante que, além de agricultores e moradores, incluindo organizações da sociedade civil e representantes das organizações interessadas estiveram presentes na entrevista. Tenho portanto, perguntas parlamentares sobre os participantes da conversa, pois tive a impressão que os moradores incomodados e organizações ambientais, se comunicaram com Sua Majestade principalmente através de banners.

PiepVandaag, uma comunidade de internet de pessoas que defendem os animais, natureza e meio ambiente, começou uma campanha de assinaturas contra as atividades cruéis do artista belga Jan Fabre. Este "artista" jogou gatos no ar que então terminaram nas escadas para a gravação de um filme de em um projeto de arte. Alguns dos gatos não pousaram em suas patas e os gritos são dolorosos. Inacreditável que alguém com consciência e sentimento possa fazer isso com seres vivos! Fabre anteriormente fez gessada no teto do Palácio Real, na Bélgica, com 1,5 milhões em jóias tailandêsas besouros escudos. Bom exemplo do que está acontecendo no sector bancário: A Loo With A View. Como banqueiros em Frankfurt, literalmente, olhar para baixo sobre a multidão que se fez rico.

It is great news that Barack Obama was re-elected. His re-election means a better future for the United States. But now let’s hope for real progress in the areas of tolerance and sustainability. If you compare the results in the USA with the situation in the Netherlands, the outcome in the USA can be described thus: “the voter has decided that Obama and Romney will have to work together”. After all, in addition to the presidency, there are changing majorities in the house of representatives and the senate. From that perspective, we can say it’s all “much ado about nothing”.

My favourite candidate in these American elections was Jill Stein, the green candidate. Her aim is to transform the white house in a “green house”. I would like to thank her for bringing compassion and sustainability to the campaign! Excellent!

Last Friday, Queen Beatrix visited the province of North Brabant, where she attended a discussion on intensive factory farming in the province. We welcome the fact that the issue of factory farming in Brabant is being discussed and the presence of the queen meant the issue got more attention.

However, it is important that the queen get a full and balanced impression of the problems in Brabant. Consequently, it is vital that, in addition to farmers and local people, also social organizations and representatives from interest groups are present during the discussion. I have submitted parliamentary questions regarding the parties invited to participate in the discussion as there is the feeling that worried residents and environmental organizations mostly have to resort of demonstrations to get the attention of Her Majesty.

PiepVandaag, an internet community of people concerned about animals, nature and the environment, has started a petition against the animal-unfriendly activities of Belgian artist Jan Fabre. This so-called “artist” filmed cats being thrown up into the air to land on some stairs for an art project. Some of the cats did not land on their feet and the crying was chilling. Unbelievable that someone could do this to living creatures that are aware and feel!
