Worldlog Settimana 22 – 2010

Questa settimana c’è un reportage di foto nel Wordlog per farti vedere che cosa sta facendo il Partito per gli Animali durante il periodo delle elezioni.

In mezzo alla zona dove c’è la febbre-Q è apparso un messaggio sulla cantina di un contadino che sembra richiamare l’attenzione del parlamento per la febbre-Q. Sulla cantina di un contadino nella provincia di Noord-Brabant c’è un graffiti di una capra col parcadute, con le parole ‘Q could you drop me in Parliament?’ (Q potresti lasciarmi nel parlamento?).

Esprimersi in questo modo ricorda all’artista misterioso londinese “Bansky”, che chiede nei suoi lavori attenzione per gli animali, la natura e l’ambiente. Guarda su questo sito per vedere più lavori di Bansky. Non è noto se l’ha fatto davvero Bansky oppure qualcuno che l’ha imitato bene.

Nella provincia di Limburg ho partecipato alla camminata di protesta “Cammina per Speranza” contro l’allevamento bestiame e l’arrivo delle megastalle.

Nella provincia di Utrecht ho assistito l’apertura di un passaggio per i pesci.

Nella provincia di Zeeland ho aiutato a rimuovere un cancello pericoloso per gli animali in una zona naturale.

E’ bello raccontarvi che nei Paesi Bassi è già stato fatto vedere il nuovo documentario “Sea the Truth” della Fondazione Nicolaas G. Pierson. La gente ha potuto vedere il documentario nelle città di Tilburg, Leiden, Den Haag, Middelburg, Driebergen, Nijmegen, Utrecht e sull’isola di Vlieland.

Il Partito per gli Animali ha alcune pubblicità elettorali come ad esempio le seguenti:

Mercoledì prossimo tutti gli olandesi potranno andare a votare per il nuovo parlamento. Per ora siamo ancora in attesa, ma la prossima settimana vi racconterò sull’esito delle elezioni.

Vogliamo aumentare i nostri posti nel parlamento, ma siamo consapevoli che in un periodo di crisi il riflesso degli elettori e dei partiti politici è di pensare soprattutto al portafoglio. Le interesse degli uomini a breve termine vanno di moda, come è possibile!

In this week’s Worldlog a photoreport documenting the activities of the Party for the Animals during the election campaign.

In the heart of the area affected by Q fever, a message has appeared on a farmer’s barn that seems to call for the parliament to focus more attention on combating Q fever. On a farmer’s barn in the province of North Brabant, a graffiti-style image has been created of a goat on a parachute with the caption ‘Q could you drop me in Parliament?’

The statement would seem to be by the mysterious London artist Banksy, who in his work draws attention to animals, nature and the environment. Visit this site for more work of Banksy. We don’t know if the statement is really by Banksy or a good imitation.

In the province of Limburg I joined the protest walk ‘Loop voor Hoop’ (walk for hope) against the intensive farming industry and the arrival of mega-sties.

In the province of Utrecht I opened an animal-friendly fish ladder.

And in the province of Zeeland I helped remove a fence that was a danger for the animals in a nature reserve.

I am happy to report that in the Netherlands we have already had many showings of the new documentary Sea the Truth by the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation. So far, folks have been able to admire the movie in Tilburg, Leiden, The Hague, Middelburg, Driebergen, Nijmegen, Utrecht and on Vlieland. Here are a couple pictures of the evening in Tilburg:

Next Wednesday all Dutch citizens have the opportunity to vote for a new parliament. A very exciting time but you’ll have to wait till next week for my election report. We are going for a gain in seats but we know that during the current crisis, both voters and political parties will tend to think of their wallets first and foremost. Short-term interests are at the top of the agenda…how can that be?!
