“Anja Hazekamp europarlamentare migliore per gli animali”
Anja Hazekamp e’ stata nominata dai suoi colleghi nel Parlamento Europeo l’europarlamentare migliore per gli animali. Gli e’ stato offerto un premio in merito. Hazekamp e’ onorata con il premio, ma non l’ha accettato di persona.
“I vari premi annuali sono sponsorrizzati dall’enorme lobby dell’industria a Bruxelles. Inoltre non e’ chiaro quale e’ la procedura per questi premi. Nonostante il premio di “benessere per gli animali” sia uno dei pochi premi non spinsorizzati, non me la sento di essere presente a tale festa di lobbying,”, dice Hazekamp.
“Certo che sono onorata che i tutelatori dei diritti degli animali e le organizzazioni per l’ambiente apprezzano il Partito per gli Animali, e che la maggioranza dei miei 750 colleghi eurparlamentari mi ha votato come mebro migliore per gli animali del Parlamento Europeo. Spero che questi colleghi nel parlamento voteranno anche per le proposte del Partito per gli Animali, cosi’ ne traggono davvero i benefici gli animali.”
Anja Hazekamp has been proclaimed the most animal-friendly MEP by her colleagues of the European Parliament, and was presented with an award. Hazekamp “feels honoured”, but hasn´t collected the award in person.
“The annual award ceremony and the different awards are sponsored by the immense industry lobby in Brussels. On top of that, it is unclear how the nominations have come about. Although the award for ‘animal welfare’ is one of the few awards that are not sponsored, it does not feel right to be part of a lobby party like this,” says Hazekamp.
“Naturally I am honoured that the Party for the Animals is appreciated by animal protectionists and environmental organisations and that the majority of my 750 fellow MEPs have voted me the most animal-friendly Member of Parliament. Hopefully these colleagues will also vote in favour of the Party for the Animal’s animal-friendly proposals in parliament, so that the animals themselves will benefit as well.”
