Um novo acontecimento na Holanda! Eu inaugurei na última sexta-feira a primeira lanchonete na Holanda onde apenas produtos vegetarianos e veganos estão no menu! Nessa lanchonete vegetariana, são servidos lanches e sanduíches, complementadas com bebidas quentes e frias biológicas. Além disso o proprietário Jürgen Verwoerd está comprometido em promover possíveis atividades verdes no restaurantes fast food. Com energia verde, embalagens ambientalmente amigável e produtos de limpeza ecológicos.

A lanchonete vegetariana contribui numa mudança para uma distribuição mais justa de alimentos. Graças a esta lanchonete as pessoas podem comer um ‘pão bola’ sem impor uma forte pressão sobre os animais, as pessoas, a natureza e o meio ambiente. Estamos muito satisfeitos com cada empreendedor que inicia algum movimento significativo em direção a uma sociedade mais vegetal e agradável

Esta semana estive em Paris para participar do lançamento do livro da Meat the Truth em francês: La Verite sur la Viande. Foi um evento muito bonito e bem visitado!

Na semana passada fizemos perguntas parlamentares sobre as violações da proibição de ancoragem sinalizada. Em uma transmissão de um programa de televisão holandesa foi revelado que ha pessoas que fazem ancoragem nos ouvidos e / ou caudas de seus cães, embora isso seja proibido. Também mostrou que principalmente em shows cães ancorados sem nenhuma verificação.

O encaixe de cães na Holanda é proibido por lei desde 2001. Contudo, parece que muitos cães ainda estão ancorados. Consideramos inaceitável que exista um comércio internacional ilegal de cães ancorados.

Peter Singer está nos ajudando a concentrar a chamar atenção para o documentário de Haas in de Marathon, um filme sobre os 10 anos do Partido para os Animais. Maravilhoso! Este australiano famoso mundialmente Peter Singer, é professor de Bioética na Universidade de Princeton, filósofo e um dos fundadores do quadro de avaliação ética em torno dos animal. Ele é para nós uma grande fonte de inspiração!

As abelhas estão agora dependentes de sua ajuda, você da das abelhas. Leia este artigo perturbador para mais informações. A UE se recusa a proibir pesticidas perigosos contra a mortalidade das abelhas. Por isso a própria Holanda deve proibir neonicotinóides tóxicos e Fipronil! Queremos que esses recursos sejam proibidos o mais rápido possível porque pesticidas representam uma grave ameaça para as abelhas e outros insetos.

A first in the Netherlands! Last Friday, I opened the first snack bar in the Netherlands which has only vegetarian and vegan items on the menu. At the Vegetarian Snack Bar they serve meals, snacks and filled sandwiches, supplemented by organic hot and cold drinks. The owner Jürgen Verwoerd aims at running a fastfood restaurant that is as green as possible. With green power, environmental friendly packaging and ecological cleaning agents.

The Vegetarian Snack Bar helps in the shift towards an honest food supply. Thanks to this snack bar you can eat a ‘meatball sandwich’ without putting pressure on animals, people, nature or the environment. We are delighted with every entrepreneur who takes meaningful steps towards a vegetarian, and therefore, animal friendly society.

This week I was in Paris for the book presentation of the French language version of Meat the Truth: La Verite sur la Viande. It was a great event with many visitors!

Last week, we raised Parliamentary questions about the violation of the prohibition of docking and cropping, which is frequently seen. In a Dutch television programme it came to light that people still have their dogs’ ears and tail cropped and docked, despite the prohibition. Seemingly the dogs exhibited at shows are mostly cropped and docked and no inspections are carried out.

The cropping and docking of dogs is banned by law in the Netherlands since 2001. But apparently many dogs are still being cropped and docked. We think it is unacceptable that these dogs are still traded illegally on an international basis.

Peter Singer helps us to draw attention to our documentary the Hare in the Marathon, a film covering the 10^th anniversary of the Party for the Animals. Excellent! The world-famous Australian Peter Singer is professor of Bioethics at Princeton University, philosopher and one of the founders of the ethical assessment of animal rights. He is a great source of inspiration to us!

The bees are now dependent on your help, and you depend on the help of the bees. Read this alarming article for more information. The European Union refuses to prohibit hazardous pesticides to prevent the death of bees. The Netherlands should therefore just prohibit the poisonous neonicotinoids and fipronil itself! We want these pesticides to be taken from the market as soon as possible because these agricultural pesticides seriously threaten the lives of bees and other insects.
