O Partido para os Animais holandês existe 15 anos. No dia 28 de outubro de 2002 um pequeno grupo de pessoas decidiu fundar o primeiro partido político no mundo que não só centraliza o ser humano mas o planeta inteiro com todos os seus habitantes. Quinze anos depois o Partido para os Animais se tornou o maior exportador holandês de uma nova filosofia política.
Desde a fundação do Partido para os Animais surgiu um movimento mundial crescente que se empenha pelos interesses transfronteiriços dos animais, da natureza e do meio-ambiente na política. Agora já existem 18 partidos políticos no mundo com as mencionadas opiniões políticas e o número continua crescendo.
Também na Holanda o partido cresce rapidamente. Nas eleições para a Câmara Baixa em março deste ano o número de cadeiras do Partido para os Animais subiu de dois para cinco. Além deste aumento de nada menos que 150% houve um enorme crescimento do número de membros de 12.000 para 15.000 membros. Cada vez mais cidadãos preocupados compreendem que já chegou a hora de arranjar as coisas de maneira diferente neste mundo.
Nas próximas eleições municipais o Partido para os Animais participará em 19 municípios. Em 12 destes municípios o partido já tem representantes. Apesar de almejarmos uma ampla expansão do Partido para os Animais, é claro que devemos tomar cuidado para não acabarmos como um partido estourado.
This year marks the Dutch Party for the Animals’ 15th anniversary. On 28 October 2002, a small group of people decided to be the first in the world to found a political party representing not human interests, but the interests of the entire planet and all its inhabitants. Fifteen years later, the Party for the Animals has grown to be the Netherlands’ most prominent advocate of a new political ideology.
Party for the Animals team celebrates first elections
From the beginning, the creation of the Party for the Animals has led to a growing global movement working for the cross-border interests of animals, nature and the environment in politics. There are now 18 like-minded political parties worldwide and the number continues to grow.
Also in the Netherlands, the Party for the Animals is growing rapidly. The party went from two to five seats in Parliament in the general elections in March this year. This increase of no less than 150% was accompanied by a strong inflow of new members: from 12,000 to 15,000. More and more concerned citizens realise that the time has come to restructure the world.
In the coming municipal elections, the Party for the Animals will participate in 19 municipalities, including 12 in which the party is already represented. If it is up to the PftA, this number will be greatly expanded, while at the same time making sure that this growth is sustainable.
