Nederlandse Partij voor de Dieren bestaat 15 jaar!
De Nederlandse Partij voor de Dieren bestaat vijftien jaar. Op 28 oktober 2002 besloot een kleine club mensen om als eerste ter wereld een politieke partij op te richten die niet de mens centraal stelt, maar de gehele planeet en al haar bewoners. Vijftien jaar later is de Partij voor de Dieren het grootste Nederlandse exportproduct van een nieuw politiek gedachtegoed geworde
Partij voor de Dieren team viert feest bij eerste verkiezingen
Sinds de oprichting van de Partij voor de Dieren is een wereldwijde, groeiende beweging ontstaan die zich in de politiek inzet voor de grensoverschrijdende belangen van dieren, natuur en milieu. Inmiddels zijn er wereldwijd 18 gelijkgestemde politieke partijen en dit aantal blijft groeien.
Ook in Nederland groeit de partij razendsnel. Bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen in maart van dit jaar is de PvdD van twee naar vijf Kamerzetels gegaan. Deze stijging van maar liefst 150% ging tevens gepaard met een enorme ledenaanwas. De PvdD zag een toename van 12.000 naar 15.000 leden. Steeds meer bezorgde burgers zien in dat het hoogste tijd is om de wereld anders in te richten.
Met de aanstaande gemeenteraadsverkiezingen doet de PvdD mee in 19 gemeenten. In 12 van die gemeenten is de partij al vertegenwoordigd. Als het aan de PvdD ligt wordt dit aantal fors uitgebreid, waarbij natuurlijk wel de voorzichtigheid wordt betracht om geen plofpartij te worden.
This year marks the Dutch Party for the Animals’ 15th anniversary. On 28 October 2002, a small group of people decided to be the first in the world to found a political party representing not human interests, but the interests of the entire planet and all its inhabitants. Fifteen years later, the Party for the Animals has grown to be the Netherlands’ most prominent advocate of a new political ideology.
Party for the Animals team celebrates first elections
From the beginning, the creation of the Party for the Animals has led to a growing global movement working for the cross-border interests of animals, nature and the environment in politics. There are now 18 like-minded political parties worldwide and the number continues to grow.
Also in the Netherlands, the Party for the Animals is growing rapidly. The party went from two to five seats in Parliament in the general elections in March this year. This increase of no less than 150% was accompanied by a strong inflow of new members: from 12,000 to 15,000. More and more concerned citizens realise that the time has come to restructure the world.
In the coming municipal elections, the Party for the Animals will participate in 19 municipalities, including 12 in which the party is already represented. If it is up to the PftA, this number will be greatly expanded, while at the same time making sure that this growth is sustainable.
