La settimana scorsa, la intera camera ha votato a favore della mia mozione per abolire gli incentivi della UE per la corrida. Ora il governo olandese deve farsi sentire in Europa per abolire questi incentivi. Semplicemente non devono esistere incentivi per l’intrattenimento che causa sofferenza agli animali. Gli incentivi UE vanno tra le altre cose all’allevamento dei tori per la corrida. La corrida causa 250.000 buoi all’anno a livello mondiale ad essere torturati o uccisi. Continuiamo ad impegnarci per raggiungere un divieto per questo crudele intrattenimento.
Anche la nostra mozione per ulteriori controlli nelle stalle nell’allevamento del bestiame durante le giornate calde è stata accettata!
Sono andata a trovare il nostro nuovo re con un fantastico furgone elettrico della Volkswagen. Ho scelto di andarci con questo veicolo riciclato di “Rebbl”, per chiedere attenzione per il problema dell’anidride carbonica e la scarsità dei prodotti base per l’energia. Guidando elettrico al 100% cerco di contribuire ad un mondo sostenibile ed a un clima stabile!
La settimana scorsa ho fatto delle domande nella camera sull’abuso dei pony. Esistono alcuni filmati su internet dove alcune donne vanno su dei pony troppo piccoli e li abusano. I filmati sono probabilmente prodotti da una casa olandese e sono stati messi in rete da degli olandesi. La sofferenza degli animali in questi filmati è veramente inaccettabile e i produttori dei filmati devono essere puniti severamente. La multa media che viene data ad uno che abusa gli animali è di 230 euro. La media di ore lavorative obbligate dal giudice è di 57 ore. Crediamo che le sentenze debbano essere più severe per l’abuso degli animali! Anche il controllo sull’abuso degli animali deve essere migliorato in modo che i collaboratori di questi filmati o altri simili, vengano arrestati prima.
La Protesta Crescente funziona, anche ad Istanbul. Il giudice affermò il desiderio dei manifestanti: il parco Gezi non verrà distrutto ne riempito di palazzi. Bene!
Stranissima novità dal Vietnam: 4.000 gatti sono stati sequestrati ed uccisi; la loro carne è stata venduta per fare degli stuzzichini. Brrr, che schifo. E l’uccisione crudele delle foche in Namibia ha ricominciato. Ciò poiché vi sono dei nuovi ricchi che vogliono la giacca di pelliccia di foca…

Ha cominciato la pausa estiva del governo. La camera non si riunisce per due mesi, ma per noi ci sarà abbastanza da fare in questo periodo. Vi mostro le bellissime foto del Boston Globe per iniziare l’estate.

Last week, the entire parliament voted in favour of my motion to end the EU agricultural subsidies for bullfighting. Now, the Dutch government has to advocate for ending this subsidy in Europe. Subsidies should not be granted for animal unfriendly pleasure. EU agricultural subsidies are granted for breeding bulls for bullfighting among other things. Each year, more than 250,000 bulls and cows are tortured and killed all over the world because of bullfighting. We will continue our efforts to end this horrifying entertainment.
And our motion for extra inspections of stables in animal husbandry on hot days was adopted too!
I went to visit our new King in a great electric Volkswagen bus. I chose to go by this recycled Volkswagen bus from Rebbl to generate attention for greenhouse gas emissions and scarcity of raw materials. By driving a fully electric car I try to contribute to a liveable world and a stable climate!
Last week, I asked parliamentary questions about the cruelty of ponies. There are several short films on the internet in which women ride ponies that are too small for them and where they abuse them. The films are more than likely produced by a Dutch production house and are also offered by Dutch people. The animal suffering in these films is really unacceptable and the producers of these films must be severely punished. The fine that an animal abuser is to pay is about 230 euro on average, and they are sentenced to a punishment order of 57 hours on average. We believe that more severe punishment should be imposed on animal abusers! Also, the control of cruelty to animals should be tightened so that people involved in such films can be brought in sooner.
The Growing Resentment is working, also in Istanbul. The Court has confirmed the demonstrators’ wish: the Gezi Park will not be re-developed. Great work!
Bizarre news from Vietnam. In Vietnam 4,000 cats were kidnapped, killed, and sold for their meat to produce snacks. Brr! What a horrific idea. And the gruesome killing of seals in Namibia has started again. Only because there are new rich people that want to buy seal fur coats. Sigh…
