Protesto em massa em Madrid contra as cruéis touradas  

Last week, Party for the Animals MEP Anja Hazekamp joined tens of thousands of people in a protest against the cruel practice of bullfighting in Spain. The demonstration called ‘Mision Abolición’ took place in Madrid and was organised by Spanish Party for the Animals PACMA. Parties for the animals all over the world showed their support for the protest on social media.

“How wonderful to see the growing resistance in Spain against one of the cruellest traditions of Europa. The bulls in the arenas, those at so-called ‘festivals’ such as Toro de Fuego and at bull-runs in Paploma all need our support. We will not give up. Misión Abolición will win. We will win for the animals!” says Hazekamp, amidst a combative crowd.

Accompanied by an ecstatic crowd, Anja paraded the streets of Madrid for two hours. Spanish media spoke of an “historic moment”. A total of between 80,000 and 100,000 people joined the protest.

Another participant in the demonstration in Madrid was MP André Silva of PAN, the Portuguese Party for the Animals. All over the world, parties for the animals showed their support for PACMA’s demonstration on social media. They urged the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to listen to the people and finally put an end to the cruel bullfights.

Juntamente com dezenas de milhares de pessoas a euro-parlamentária do Partido para os Animais Anja Hazekamp protestou na semana passada contra as cruéis touradas na Espanha. A manifestação ‘Mision Abolición’ teve lugar em Madrid e foi organizada por PACMA, o partido pelos animais espanhol e recebeu apoio de diversos partidos pelos animais no mundo inteiro por meio das mídias sociais.

“É extraordinário ver que na Espanha a oposição contra uma das tradições mais cruéis da Europa está crescendo. Os touros nas arenas e nos assim chamados ‘festivais’ como Toro de Fuego e nas corridas de touros em Pamplona, precisam de nós. Nós nunca desistiremos. Mision Abolición vencerá. Nós venceremos para os animais!” disse a Hazekamp no meio de um público disposto à luta.

Junto a uma multidão exaltada Anja Hazekamp caminhou durante duas horas pelas ruas de Madrid. A mídia espanhola falou de um ‘momento histórico’. Um total de entre 80.000 e 100.000 pessoas tomaram parte na manifestação.

O parlamentário André Silva do PAN (o partido pelos animais português) também esteve presente na manifestação em Madrid. Outros partidos pelos animais do mundo inteiro expressaram seu apoio à ação de PACMA por meio das mídias sociais. Eles solicitaram ao primeiro-ministro da Espanha Pedro Sánchez ouvir o povo e finalmente proibir as cruéis touradas.
