Tante buone notizie dal parlamento questa settimana! Come prima ci sarà un divieto su interventi dolorosi su polli, galli e tacchini grazie ad una nostra mozione. Fino ad oggi gli allevatori tagliano ogni anno 56 milioni di becchi a galline e tacchini e a tutti galli si tolgono le tracce, le creste e le parti posteriori delle dita dei piedi! Purtroppo questi interventi non vengono subito aboliti ma saranno reso operativo in modo graduale tra il 2015 e il 2021.

I polli sono tenuti cosi vicini che gli allevatori devono mutilare gli animali per evitare un bagno di sangue. Noi riteniamo che i polli non debbano essere adeguati al metodo di allevamento ma che le stalle devono essere adeguato al comportamento naturale delle galline.

Come seconda una maggioranza del Parlamento ha accolto una mozione per l’inserimento di regole più severe per allevatori per hobby di cani nella Legge Animali. Il parlamento vuole che non solo allevatori professionisti ma anche quei allevatori non professionisti dovranno seguire le regole più severe. Questo è una modifica importante alla legge perche proprio gli allevatori non professionisti contribuiscono significativamente alla consanguineità e delle caratteristiche esteriori estreme che danneggiano in modo inaccettabile il benessere degli animali.

Secondi gli esperti quasi tutte le razze di cane nascono con gravi difetti alla nascita: il 90 percento dei Cavaliers, Golden Retrievers e Pastori Tedeschi soffre di epilessia o insufficienza cardiaca. Almeno il 40 percento dei cani di razza avrà a che fare con un difetto ereditario nella prima metà della vita. Fortunatamente finalmente ne facciamo qualcosa!

E in terza luogo la nostra mozione per un divieto sulla vendita di pesticidi che contengono neonicotinoidi è stata accolta. Questo veleno è pericoloso per le api e altri impollinatori come i bombi e contribuisce alla morte massiccia delle api. Questa mozione fa un appello per il divieto della vendita di pesticidi a privati. Cosi prodotti come i guinzagli antipulce e prodotti anti-formiche che contengono la sostanza imidaclopride non possono essere più venduti. Questo è un filmato adatto alla nostra mozione per un divieto di pesticidi. Dimostra in modo grandioso perché noi ci preoccupiamo cosi tanto dei pesticidi – e GMO – gigante Monsanto. “saccheggiando il Pianeta” : Il nuovo rapporto del Club di Roma è uscito. Già dagli anni ’70 remano contro corrente e continuano a farlo. Come dice Ugo Bardi (professore dell’Università di Firenze):” La civiltà umana può solo sopravvivere se lasciamo le nostre abitudine più dispendiose alle nostra spalle”.

In Africa si allevano leoni per essere sparati da ricchi cacciatori non professionisti, purtroppo questi cacciatori provengono anche dai Paesi Bassi. Much good news from the parliament this week! First of all, the painful alterations of chickens, cocks and turkeys will finally be banned thanks to the adoption of our motion. Farmers currently still cut off the beaks of 56 millions of chickens and turkeys each year, and all cocks have their spurs, combs and the rear ends of their toes removed. Unfortunately, the alterations will not be immediately banned but the ban will be gradually implemented between 2015 and 2021.

The chickens are kept so closely packed together that the farmer has no other option than to mutilate the animals to prevent a blood bath. We believe that the chickens should not be adapted to the way in which they are kept but that the stables should be adapted to the natural behaviour of the chickens.

Secondly, a majority of the House has adopted a motion to amend the Animals Act and bring in stricter rules for hobby dog breeders. The House doesn’t only want professional breeders but also hobby breeders to meet stricter rules. This is an important amendment to the Act, because it is in fact the hobby breeders who strongly contribute to the inbreeding and the extreme external characteristics which affect the welfare of animals in an unacceptable way.

According to experts, almost all breeds of dogs are born with serious congenital anomalies: 90 percent of all cavaliers, golden retrievers and German shepherds suffer from epilepsy or heart failure. At least 40 percent of pedigree dogs encounter hereditary defects in the first half of their lives. Fortunately, we are now going to tackle this!

And thirdly, our motion to ban the sale of pesticides that contain neonicotinoids. This poison is dangerous for bees and other pollinators, such as bumblebees, and is contributing to the massive death of bees. This motion pleads for a ban on the sale of pesticides to private persons. Additionally, products such as flea collars and ant pesticides containing the substance imidacloprid may no longer be sold. This film is suitable to demonstrate our motion to ban pesticides. It perfectly shows why we are so concerned about pesticides and GMO Giant Monsanto. GMO a go go!
