Finska sestranska stranka EOP, po prvi put sudjeluje u izborima

Finska sestranska stranka EOP je u nedjelju 9. travnja po prvi put sudjelovala u općinskim izborima u Finskoj. EOP je sudjelovala u ukupno šest općina. To je prvi put nakon osnivanja stranke u 2014. godini, da stranka sudjeluje u izborima.

EOP sebe opisuje kao “politička stranka koja kao cilj ima da od Finske napravi društvo koje prihvaća prava svih životinja.” Njihova misija je pravda za sve vrste životinja i ukidanje korištenja životinja kao mašine za proizvodnju. EOP je rođena iz želje da prava životinja postanu predmet političke rasprave i odlučivanja.

Marianne Thieme: „Mi držimo fige našim kolegama u Finskoj za dobar rezultat. Bilo bi super ako bi naš globalni pokreta stranaka za životinje bio zastupljen i u Finskoj. ”

Sljedećeg tjedna u Worldlogu Marianne Thieme gledamo unatrag i nadamo se da će tada i u Finskoj biti zastupnika za stranku za životinje.

Last Sunday 9 April, our Finnish sister party EOP participated in the municipal elections in Finland for the first time. EOP took part in the elections in a total of six municipalities. They had candidates in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Nokia, Salla and Vesanto. These are the first elections for the party, which was established in 2014.

EOP describes its party as ‘a political party that aims to make Finland a country in which the rights of all animals are recognized’. Their mission is to ensure justice for all animal species and to end the use of animals as production machines. EOP was born from a desire to make animal rights a subject of political debate and decision-making.

Marianne Thieme: “We are keeping our fingers crossed for a good result for our colleagues in Finland. The representation in Finland of our worldwide movement of political parties for animals would be wonderful.”
