Começou o Partido para os Animais na Bélgica

BRUXELAS / HAIA, 20 de fevereiro – O partido político ‘DierAnimal’ foi lançado na Bélgica ontem. O partido-irmão belga do partido para os animais holandês é o décimo primeiro partido político da União Européia que coloca o planeta e os animais no centro de suas ações.

O partido político bilingue DierAnimal deseja estabelecer os direitos dos animais na constituição da Bélgica e pôr fim à pecuária intensiva e às experiências com animais em seu território. DierAnimal advoga por agricultura saudável, sustentável, mais humana e menos exploradora de animais. Além disso, DierAnimal tem ambições transfronteiriças: apoia ativamente a conservação sustentável de florestas, manejos florestais e reflorestamento em todo o mundo.

DierAnimal agora faz parte de um crescente movimento mundial de emancipação social. Dezenove partidos políticos para os animais foram criados em todo o mundo desde 2002 – ano em que o Partido Holandês para os Animais foi fundado.

O lançamento do DierAnimal em Bruxelas contou com a presença da Deputada Anja Hazekamp e Elze Boshart, Presidente da Fundação Internacional do Partido Holandês para os Animais. Ambas estão satisfeitas e orgulhosas de que agora exista um partido político na Bélgica que defenda as criaturas mais vulneráveis deste planeta. Elze Boshart: “Estamos convencidos de que DierAnimal na Bélgica pode fazer a diferença. A Bélgica é o próximo país em que a indústria pecuária e outras formas de exploração excessiva do nosso planeta serão contestadas com violência política. Os Partidos para os Animais são os únicos partidos políticos que defendem uma política radicalmente diferente. Juntos devolveremos a dignidade da Terra como lar de todos nós.”

BRUSSELS/THE HAGUE, 20 February – The political party ‘DierAnimal’ was launched in Belgium yesterday. This Belgian sister party of the Dutch Party for the Animals is the eleventh political party in the European Union that puts the position of the planet and animals at centre stage.

The bilingual political party DierAnimal wishes to lay down animal rights in the Belgium constitution and to put a stop to intensive livestock farming and animal experiments. DierAnimal pleads for healthy, sustainable, human and animal friendly agriculture. Additionally, DierAnimal has cross-border ambitions: it pleads for active support for sustainable forest conservation, forest management and reforestation worldwide.

DierAnimal is now also part of a growing worldwide social emancipation movement. Nineteen political parties for the animals were set up worldwide since 2002 – the year that the Dutch Party for the Animals was founded.

The launching of DierAnimal in Brussels was attended by MEP Anja Hazekamp and Elze Boshart, Chairman of the international foundation of the Dutch Party for the Animals. Both are pleased and proud that there now is a party in Belgium too that stands up for the most vulnerable creatures of this planet. Elze Boshart: “We are convinced that DierAnimal in Belgium can make the difference. Belgium is the next country where the livestock industry and other forms of overexploitation of our planet will be contested with political violence. The Parties for the Animals are the only political parties that plead for a radically different policy. Together we will give back the earth’s dignity as home to us all.”
