Comincia un Partito per gli animali in Belgio

BRUXXELLES/L’HAYA, 20 febbraio – In Belgio e’ stato lanciato ieri il partito politico “DierAnimal”. Questo partito per gli animali belgo e’ l’undicesimo partito politico nella Unione Europea che mette al centro dell’attenzione il pianeta e gli animali.

Il partito politico bilingue DierAnimal vuole ancorare i diritti degli animali nella costituzione Belga, finendo tra le altre cose l’industria del bestiame intensiva e le sperimenazioni con gli animali. DierAnimal vuole un’agricoltura sana e sostenibile per l’uomo e gli animali. In piu’ DierAnimal ha delle ambizioni oltre al Belgio: vuole un sostegno attivo per la manutenzione sostenibile delle foreste, la gestione delle foreste e la riforestazione a livello mondiale.

DierAnimal fa parte di un movimento sociale ed emancipatorio mondiale, che e’ sempre piu’ in crescita. Dal 2002 – l’anno in cui e’ stato eretto l’olandese Partito per gli Animali – sono stati eretti dicianove partiti politici per gli animali nel mondo.

L’Europarlamentare Anja Hazekamp e il segretario dell’associazione internazionale dell’olandese Partito per gli Animali Elze Boshart, hanno partecipato al lancio di dierAnimal a Bruxelles. Entrambe sono contente e fiere che ora anche nel Belgio esiste un partito che difende i piu’ vulnerabili su questo pianeta. Elze Boshart: “Siamo convinte che DierAnimal puo’ fare la differenza in Belgio. Belgio e’ il prossimo paese dove l’attivismo politico combattera’ l’industria del bestiame ed altri modi di distruggere il nostro pianeta. I partiti per gli animali sono gli unici partiti politici che richiedono una gestione completamente diversa. Insieme ridaremo alla terra la sua dignita’ come una casa per tutti noi.”

BRUSSELS/THE HAGUE, 20 February – The political party ‘DierAnimal’ was launched in Belgium yesterday. This Belgian sister party of the Dutch Party for the Animals is the eleventh political party in the European Union that puts the position of the planet and animals at centre stage.

The bilingual political party DierAnimal wishes to lay down animal rights in the Belgium constitution and to put a stop to intensive livestock farming and animal experiments. DierAnimal pleads for healthy, sustainable, human and animal friendly agriculture. Additionally, DierAnimal has cross-border ambitions: it pleads for active support for sustainable forest conservation, forest management and reforestation worldwide.

DierAnimal is now also part of a growing worldwide social emancipation movement. Nineteen political parties for the animals were set up worldwide since 2002 – the year that the Dutch Party for the Animals was founded.

The launching of DierAnimal in Brussels was attended by MEP Anja Hazekamp and Elze Boshart, Chairman of the international foundation of the Dutch Party for the Animals. Both are pleased and proud that there now is a party in Belgium too that stands up for the most vulnerable creatures of this planet. Elze Boshart: “We are convinced that DierAnimal in Belgium can make the difference. Belgium is the next country where the livestock industry and other forms of overexploitation of our planet will be contested with political violence. The Parties for the Animals are the only political parties that plead for a radically different policy. Together we will give back the earth’s dignity as home to us all.”
