Worldlog Settimana 45 – 2013

Il Partito per gli Animali partecipa in dodici comuni hanno alle elezioni comunali di Marzo! Sono molto orgoglioso dello sviluppo che il nostro partito sta attraversando a livello comunale. Il partito vuole aumentare il suo numero di rappresentanti politici in modo graduale, ma noi stiamo attenti a non diventare troppo in fretta grande. Al momento siamo rappresentati in sei comuni. Se fosse per noi, quel numero sarà raddoppiato dopo le elezioni 😉

Questa settimana abbiamo fatto interrogazioni parlamentari sulle nuove autorizzazioni di colture GM nell’Unione Europea. Vogliamo che il nostro governo voterà contro l’autorizzazione di nuove colture geneticamente modificate. Manipolazione genetica intacca l’integrità di piante e animali. Questa tecnica, inoltre, pone un grave rischio per le persone e la biodiversità. Molti problemi sono causati dato che multinazionali utilizzano la tecnologia per produrre colture commerciali geneticamente modificate che sottopongo l’ambiente ed il nostro cibo sotto sforzo con pesticidi. Introduzione di queste colture in Europa non è una buona idea per preservare la qualità della nostra terra ed degli alimenti e la nostra libertà di scelta!

Noi respingiamo la manipolazione genetica allo fortemente, e ci impegniamo già da anni per i Paesi Bassi ed l’Europa liberi di OGM. La modificazione genetica e l’uso diffuso di veleni porta alla deforestazione, l’avvelenamento della nostra terra e le nostre acque sotterranee e di superficie. Questo porta alla distruzione della nostra fragile ma vitale biodiversità, tra cui impollinatori come le api, bombi e farfalle. Questo significa anche che il consumatore dipende da una manciata di aziende che monopolizzano il nostro approvvigionamento alimentare.

Le colture geneticamente modificate nei campi non hanno benefici per l’ambiente e nemmeno per il consumatore o il piccolo agricoltore. I benefici di GM finiscono nelle tasche dell’industria e i grandi agricoltori che trasformano ex foreste vergini in monocolture soia GM come cibo per gli animali. GM pone anche una minaccia per l’agricoltura convenzionali e biologica, perché le colture possono mescolarsi. Noi vogliamo un agricoltura senza manipolazioni genetiche, senza pesticidi e senza monocolture.

Grande notizia! Ci sarà a breve una legge che regola che persone con cane-guida non può più essere negato l’accesso a luoghi pubblici. Attualmente alle persone con disabilità accade giornalmente che con il loro cane -guida non possono entrare in negozi, ristoranti, alberghi e altre strutture. Dopo una petizione e una mozione da parte nostra il governo ha promesso di preparare rapidamente un disegno di legge per risolvere questa situazione penosa. Il disegno di legge è prevista per l’inizio del prossimo anno.

La settimana scorsa ho già raccontato che la Politics Animal Foundation organizza un simposio a Istanbul. Il simposio si rivolge a chi è interessato a dei diritti degli animali e della politica degli animali, e più in particolare per le persone impegnate nella teoria o pratica relativamente giovane ma influente movimento politico di Politica degli animali. Il simposio si svolge a Istanbul perché il Turchia un relativamente nuovo Partito per gli Animali è attivo, il Hayvan Partisi. Tenendo il simposio a Istanbul, vogliamo dare sostegno a questo movimento in Turchia.

Le risposte del governo sulle mai domande sull’uccisione di cani randagi in Romania sono arrivate. Beh, in realtà non ci sono risposte. La conclusione è che il nostro governo ritiene che sta al governo Romeno di formulare una politica…

Questa settimana è stato annunciato che la Cina vuole esportare carne di cane. Come i Paesi Bassi esportano vitelli, orecchie di maiali e pulcini. Per saperne di più leggi su http://guardianlv.com/2013/10/dog-me.

The Party for the Animals will participate in the municipal elections of March in twelve municipalities! I am really proud of the developments our Party is going through at municipal level. The Party wishes to steadily expand its number of political representatives, but we are careful not to grow too large too quickly. We are currently represented in six municipalities. And if we have any say in it, that number will have doubled after the elections 😉

This week, we asked Parliamentary questions about the new admission of gen-tech crops into the European Union. We want our Government to vote against the admission of new genetically manipulated crops. Genetic manipulation affects the integrity of plants and animals. This technology is also a great risk for people and the biodiversity. Many problems arise because multinationals use this technology to produce commercial genetically manipulated crops, which severely burden the environment and our food with pesticides. The introduction of these crops in Europe is thus not a good idea for maintaining our soil and food quality and our freedom of choice.

We strongly reject genetic manipulation and strived for years to ensure a genetic technology free Netherlands and Europe. Genetic modification and large-scale use of poisons will lead to deforestation, poisoning of our soil, and our soil and surface water. This will lead to the destruction of our vulnerable but essential biodiversity, including the pollinators such as bees, humblebees and butterflies. This also means that the consumer becomes dependant on a handful of companies which monopolise our food supply.

The gen-tech crops on the fields do not benefit the environment, nor the consumer or the small farmer. The benefits of gen-tech end up in the pockets of the industry and large farmers who have transformed former primeval forests into monocultures GM soy for livestock feed. Additionally, gen-tech is a threat to contemporary and organic farming because the crops can be mixed. We want an agriculture without genetic manipulation, without agricultural pesticides, and without monocultures.

Great news! A new law will soon be implemented that will no longer allow that people with a help dog or guide dog are denied access to public areas. At this moment, it still happens every day that people with a disability are denied access with their help or guide dog to shops, restaurants, hotels, and other facilities. After a petition and a motion from us, the Government promised to soon come with a bill to solve this distressing situation. The bill is expected at the start of the next year.

Last week, I told you that the Animal Politics Foundation is organising a symposium in Istanbul. The symposium is intended for people who are interested in animal rights and animal politics, and more specifically for people who are engaged in the theory or practice of the relatively young, but influential political movement of Animal Politics. The symposium is held in Istanbul because there is a relatively new Party for the Animals in Turkey, namely the Hayvan Partisi. By holding the symposium in Istanbul we want to support this movement in Turkey.

I have received the Government’s answers to my previous questions about the killing of stray dogs in Romania. Well, the fact is that there are no answers! The Government’s conclusion is that it is up to the Romanian government to formulate its own policy.
