Worldlog Semana 28 – 2013

La semana pasada todo el Parlamento voto a favor de mi moción para acabar con los subsidios agrícolas Europeos para las corridas de toros. Ahora, el gobierno holandés tendrá que esforzarse por la abolición de este subsidio. Los subsidios no deben destinarse a ese tipo de placeres maliciosos con animales. Los subsidios Europeos entre otras cosas se destinan a la cría de toros para pelea. Por las corridas de toros anualmente se torturan y asesinan más de 250.000 toros y vacas. Seguiremos con nuestro compromiso para poner fin a esta diversión tan cruel. Taurino, más de 250.000 toros y vacas en todo el mundo cada año torturados y asesinados. Mantenemos nuestro compromiso de prohibir esta diversión cruel.

Se aprobó también nuestra propuesta de controles adicionales en los establos durante los días calurosos!

Con un increíble Volkswagen bus eléctrico visite nuestro nuevo rey. Decidí hacer el viaje en ese tipo de bus Volkswagen para poner atención al problema de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y la escasez de materias primas. Al conducir cien por ciento eléctrico trato de contribuir a un mundo mejor y un clima estable!

La semana pasada hice preguntas parlamentarias sobre el maltrato de ponis. En Internet salen varias películas en las que se ven mujeres pesadas que andan en ponis demasiados pequeños que maltratan. Las películas están hechas probablemente por una productora holandesa y también se ofrecen por holandeses. El sufrimiento en las películas es realmente inaceptable y los creadores de estas películas deben ser severamente castigados. La multa que un abusador de animales recibe, en promedio, es de unos € 230. Reciben un promedio de 57 horas de servicio comunitario. Realmente opinamos que deberían ser sanciones mucho más severas para la crueldad animal! También la supervisión de la crueldad animal debe ser mejorada para que los que crean ese tipo de películas sean arrestados más rápidamente.

La Resistencia Creciente funciona, también en Estambul. El tribunal confirma el deseo de los manifestantes: el Parque Gezi no será cortado y se cultivara. Qué bueno!¡

Unas noticias horribles de Vietnam. 4,000 gatos fueron secuestrados, asesinados y su carne fue vendida para la preparación de bocadillos. Qué asco! Y la horrible matanza de focas en Namimbia ha vuelto a comenzar. Esto se debe a que existen nuevos ricos que quieren nuevos abrigos de piel de foca. Horrible…

El receso de verano ha comenzado. El Parlamento no se reúne por dos meses pero para nosotros queda suficiente para hacer en el tiempo que viene. Aquí unas hermosas fotos del Boston Globe para comenzar el verano.

Last week, the entire parliament voted in favour of my motion to end the EU agricultural subsidies for bullfighting. Now, the Dutch government has to advocate for ending this subsidy in Europe. Subsidies should not be granted for animal unfriendly pleasure. EU agricultural subsidies are granted for breeding bulls for bullfighting among other things. Each year, more than 250,000 bulls and cows are tortured and killed all over the world because of bullfighting. We will continue our efforts to end this horrifying entertainment.

And our motion for extra inspections of stables in animal husbandry on hot days was adopted too!

I went to visit our new King in a great electric Volkswagen bus. I chose to go by this recycled Volkswagen bus from Rebbl to generate attention for greenhouse gas emissions and scarcity of raw materials. By driving a fully electric car I try to contribute to a liveable world and a stable climate!

Last week, I asked parliamentary questions about the cruelty of ponies. There are several short films on the internet in which women ride ponies that are too small for them and where they abuse them. The films are more than likely produced by a Dutch production house and are also offered by Dutch people. The animal suffering in these films is really unacceptable and the producers of these films must be severely punished. The fine that an animal abuser is to pay is about 230 euro on average, and they are sentenced to a punishment order of 57 hours on average. We believe that more severe punishment should be imposed on animal abusers! Also, the control of cruelty to animals should be tightened so that people involved in such films can be brought in sooner.

The Growing Resentment is working, also in Istanbul. The Court has confirmed the demonstrators’ wish: the Gezi Park will not be re-developed. Great work!

Bizarre news from Vietnam. In Vietnam 4,000 cats were kidnapped, killed, and sold for their meat to produce snacks. Brr! What a horrific idea. And the gruesome killing of seals in Namibia has started again. Only because there are new rich people that want to buy seal fur coats. Sigh…
