Worldlog Semana 28 – 2009
Este es el ultimo Worldlog antes de las vacaciones. La semana entrante estaré en Rio de Janeiro para dar un discurso en el congreso internacional de los veganistas además para mostrar la película ‘Meat The Truth’. Sí estas por allí para esas fechas: visítanos!

La semana tuve en Den Haag un encuentro con los representantes del nuevo partido para los animales en Portugal. Es muy grato para mí encontrarme con personas motivadas con los mismos ideales y de muchos países!

En estos momentos nuestra oficina científica el Nicolaas G. Person Foundation esta elaborando una nueva película que tiene como tema el fin de los mares y de los océanos. Ya se han finalizado las primeras grabaciones bajo la responsabilidad de Karen Soeters en las islas Azores.
Protestemos antes de las vacaciones de verano contra el daño hecho a los animales. Puerto Rico esta preparando un centro de primates donde se criaran animales destinados a los laboratorios donde hacen pruebas. Hagan clic aquí para hacer saber que esto seria inaceptable:
Bolivia da el ejemplo indicado para prohibir los circos con animales salvajes. Pero aun sobran muchos países (también en América del Sur) que siguen los circos con animales salvajes. Puedes protestar aquí contra esto.
Para finalizar una noticia positiva. Con el proyecto VitaGoat niños en países pobres pueden conseguir leche de soya fabricada en el propio pueblo.
El departamento Holandés de ese proyecto esta siendo nominado en la competencia de ideales de una revista local. Ayúdales un poco votando por su Vitagoat proyecto.

This is my final worldlog before the summer recess. I’ll be in Rio de Janeiro next Wednesday to speak at the world veganism congress where the film Meat the Truth will also be screened. If you happen to be in the neighbourhood, be sure to drop by!

Last week in The Hague I met with representative of the newly established Portuguese Party for the Animals. It’s always great to to meet such motivated people. They come from so many different countries but share the same ideals!

Our scientific bureau, the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation, is preparing a new film about the death of the seas and oceans. The first takes were shot last week on the Azores under the direction of Karen Soeters.
Before we break for the summer vacation, I’d like you to join me in taking a stand against cruelty to animals. Puerto Rico is planning to start a primate breeding centre to provide subjects for animal laboratories. Go here to express your opposition!
Bolivia has set a good example by banning circuses with wild animals. Unfortunately, there are still many countries (especially in South America) where circuses featuring wild animals are seen as legitimate forms of popular entertainment.
And some positive news. The VitaGoat project helps children in poor countries gain access to soymilk that is produced in their own villages.
The Dutch section of the project has been nominated in an “ideals” competition being run by a national Dutch newspaper. Lend them your support and vote for the VitaGoat project.
