En mi anterior Worldlog ya les conte que iba para Australia para dar conferencias. Tal viaje de conferencias ahora ya esta completado. La organización Australiana para los derechos de los animales, Voiceless, me habia invitado a mi como fundador y líder del Partido por los Animales a dar conferencias sobre nuestro papel como conductor en el debate sobre los derechos de los animales y la importancia política de los mismos. Era un gran honor para mi haber sido invitada. Del 4 a 17 de mayo con mucho gusto he dado conferencias por toda Australia en las universidades y bufetes de abogados. Quiero agradecer al equipo de Voiceless por la fantástica organización.
Lectura en la facultad de derecho de la Universidad de Sydney
Unas 2.000 personas asistieron en las últimas semanas a mis 10 conferencias en Australia. Entre los visitantes habían muchos estudiantes y jóvenes con la motivación y la ambición de luchar por nuestro planeta y todos sus habitantes. Pero también hubo algunos invitados especiales presentes, incluyendo el filósofo Peter Singer y el filántropo y ex banquero Felipe Wollen, quuien hace un año dio una conferencia en nuestro Parlamento. Y tambien John M. Coetzee ganador del Premio Nobel de Literatura asistió a una conferencia.
En 2016 Voiceless Animal Law Lecture Series fue organizada por la organización australiana Voiceless, para dar a conocer los derechos de los animales y el bienestar animal, en vista de las elecciones nacionales que tendrán lugar el 2 de julio en Australia. Tenemos, de hecho, hoy en día un partido hermano en Australia, llamado el Partido para la Justicia Animal. Aparte de dar conferencias he podido hablar durante mi visita a Australia con varios miembros del Partido de la Justicia Animal. En la actualidad ya están representados con un escano en el senado del estado australiano de Nueva Gales del Sur. Espero que pronto el partido obtenga más escaños en las elecciones nacionales!

In my previous Worldlog I told you that I went to Australia to give some lectures, meanwhile I have finished this lecture tour. The Australian animal rights organisation Voiceless had invited me, as the founder and party leader of the Party for the Animals, to give lectures about our role of booster in the animal rights debate and the political meaning of it. I really felt honoured to be asked to do this, from the 4th until the 17th of May I thoroughly enjoyed giving lectures throughout Australia at universities and law firms. I would like to thank the team of Voiceless for their fantastic organisation.
Lecture at the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney
Some 2,000 people attended my 10 lectures in Australia over the past few weeks. The attendants included many students, young people who are motivated and ambitious to fight for our planet and all its inhabitants. But there were also some special guests, including philosopher Peter Singer and philanthropist and former banker Philip Wollen, who gave a lecture in our Lower House a few years ago. And also John M. Coetzee, winner of the Nobel prize for Literature attended the lecture.
The 2016 Voiceless Animal Law Lecture Series was organised by the Australian animal rights organisation Voiceless to raise awareness for animal rights and animal welfare with respect to the national elections to be held in Australia on the 2nd of July. Because we now also have a sister party in Australia, the Animal Justice Party. Apart from giving lectures, I also spoke with several members of the Animal Justice Party during my visit to Australia. They currently already hold one seat in the Senate of the Australian state of New South Wales. Hopefully the party will soon gain even more seats in the national elections.
