Worldlog Semana 20 – 2008
Tivemos hoje no London Odeon West End a grande estréia da versão internacional de Meat the Truth. A partir de agora trabalharemos com as solicitações de outros países, nós já estamos bem ocupados com estréias em pelo menos dez outras importantes cidades. Passo o relatório a próxima semana!
Semana passada foram publicadas várias notícias sobre possíveis produtos substitutos a produtos animais. Isso é ótimo. É muito bom essa busca por alternativas em grande dimenssão. Acredito que alternativas vegetais tem um grande futuro. Como por exemplo o projeto Future food (meat without livestock)
Peta ofereceu uma recompensa de 1 milhão de dólares para aquele que trouxer ao mercado in vitro meat . Isso tem que ser bem rápido, pois o dólar está despencando;-)
Também acho maravilhoso que Peta esteja fazendo isto, estou totalmente de acordo com a veganista e representante do Peta Ingrid Newkirk, ela acha que este pode ser considerado o melhor investimento do Peta se resultar no fechamento de matadouros.

Acho bem interessante o substituto ovo vegetal de Gumtech, essa notícia é boa para as galinhas chocadeiras e principalmente para os milhões de galos que não são poupados devido a sua inutilidade econômica.
Uma vida mais vegetal traz realmente um futuro maravilhoso e com muitas vantagens.
Recentemente foi enviada uma carta ao jornal do trem holandês Metro, um resumo bem inteligente de Julian Kuiper: É verdade que as pessoas necessitam de proteína, mas não consta em lugar algum que devemos receber proteína através do consumo de carne. Fazer proteína através de animais é na verdade um processo bem ineficiente. Da mesma forma que podemos produzir em nosso próprio organismo outras vitaminas assim também funciona com a proteína, e ainda ficamos livres de pesticidas, esterco artificial e muitos litros de água necessários para o alimento da indústria do gado, e os problemas ambientais que os gados trazem. O setor da carne é o causador de problemas ambientais como: mudança climática, poluição do ar, falta e poluição da água, degradação da terra e perda de bio diversidade.
Através de Meat the truth podemos mostrar claramente ao mundo que precisamos formar uma nova sociedade. Amiga do animal e também vegetal. Uma sociedade onde piedade e durabilidade sejam o tema principal!

Today at the Odeon West End in London is the world première of the international version of Meat the Truth. After today, we’ll be fulfilling requests for upcoming shows in other countries, we’re working on premières in at least ten other capital cities. I’ll let you know more next week!
PETA has offered a one million dollar reward for the first person to bring in vitro meat on the market. Make it quick though, the dollar is dropping faster than a falling star 😉
I think it’s wonderful that PETA is doing this and I am in full agreement with vegans and PETA director Ingrid Newkirk that this could be the best ever investment for PETA if it can lead to the closing of slaughterhouses.

A more vegetable-oriented society is the most beautiful future and has so many advantages.
Recently, in a letter to the editor of the Dutch paper Metro, a certain Julian Kuiper summed it up well: it is true that a person needs proteins, but nowhere does it say that we must consume them via meat. Making proteins from animals is an extremely inefficient process. We can produce the necessary proteins ourselves, as we do with vitamins and countless other important building blocks. We would cut down on pesticides, artificial manure and thousands of litres of water needed for feeding livestock. Not to mention the environmental problem created by cattle. Factory farming is one of the top three causes of the following problems: climate change, air pollution, water shortage, water pollution, land degradation and loss of biodiversity.
Via Meat the Truth, we can make clear to the world that we must move toward another society. Animal-friendlier and so more vegetable-oriented. A society where the core themes are compassion and sustainability!
