Marianne Thieme vodi izaslanstvo Donjeg doma na klimatskoj konferenciji u Marakešu
Marianne Thieme prošlog je tjedna vodila izaslanstvo Donjeg doma koje je prisustvovalo na klimatskoj konferenciji u Marakešu. Izaslanstvo Donjeg doma razgovaralo je u Maroku s nizozemskom vladom, organizacijama, stranim parlamentarcima i poduzetnicima o klimatskom sporazumu donešenog prošle godine u Parizu. Marianne Thiema je i u Parizu predvodila izaslanstvo.
Izaslanstvo je nekoliko dana boravilo u Maroku kako bi proučili daljnji tok klimatskog sporazuma. Članovi parlamenta su se prije svega u Marakešu informirali o tome što će svaka zemlja poduzeti po pitanju klimatskih promjena. Informacije će članovi parlamenta iskoristiti za debate koje će uslijediti u parlamentu nakon konferencije.
Marianne Thieme: “Pariški sporazum od prošle godine je itekako obećavajući. U Marakešu zemlje mogu pokazati da su ozbiljne i da su spremne poduzeti mjere vezane za klimatske promjene.”
Zastupnici su razgovarali s ministrima, dužnosnicima i stručnjacima za klimatske promjene, te su prisustvovali seminarima i radionicama. Osim toga izaslanici su posjetili nekoliko lokalnih i održivih projekata na Atlasu i u Casablanci.
The Lower House delegation that visited the Marrakech Climate Change Conference last week was headed by Marianne Thieme. In Marrakech, the Lower House delegation spoke with the Dutch government, civil society organisations, foreign MPs and businesses about the effects of the climate agreement, adopted in Paris last year. Marianne Thieme also headed the delegation in Paris.
The Lower House delegations spent several days in Marrakech to witness the further elaboration of the climate agreement. The Lower House members mainly obtained information about what each country will contribute to tackling climate change. The Lower House members will use this information for debating with the government, which will follow the climate top.
Marianne Thieme: “The agreement adopted in Paris last year is promising. In Marrakech, the countries can show that they are serious and intend to make every effort to tackle climate change.
The members of the Lower House spoke with government leaders, officials and climate experts, and attended lectures and workshops. Additionally, the Lower House delegation visited some local, sustainable projects in the Atlas Mountains and Casablanca.
