ماريان تيم تترأس الوفد البرلماني في قمة المناخ مراكش

ترأست ماريان تيم الأسبوع المنفرط الوفد البرلماني الذي زار قمة المناخ في مراكش. وقد تحدث الوفد في المغرب مع الحكومة الهولندية، المنظمات الإجتماعية، البرلمانيين الأجنبيين والشركات ككل حول تأثير اتفاق المناخ الذي عُقد العام الماضي في باريس. ماريان تيم كانت رئيسة الوفد في باريس أيضا.

وقد ظل الوفد البرلماني عدة أيام في المغرب لأجل مراقبة مواصلة تطوير اتفاق المناخ. حيث قام بالإستقصاء على الخصوص عن ما ستساهم به كل دولة لمعالجة تغيير المناخ. وسيتم استخدام تلك المعلومات من طرف النواب في المناقشات التي ستتبع قمة المناخ مع مجلس الوزراء.

ماريان تيم: “الإتفاق الذي تم العام الماضي في باريس يعِد بالكثير. وبإمكان الدول في مراكش أن تبين بأنها جدية وتعمل كل ما يلزم لمعالجة تغيير المناخ.

وتحدث النواب مع وزراء، مسؤولين وخبراء المناخ، كما حضروا أوراش عمل ومحاضرات. بالإضافة إلى ذلك زار الوفد البرلماني بعض مشاريع الإستدامة المحلية في جبال الأطلس والدارالبيضاء.

The Lower House delegation that visited the Marrakech Climate Change Conference last week was headed by Marianne Thieme. In Marrakech, the Lower House delegation spoke with the Dutch government, civil society organisations, foreign MPs and businesses about the effects of the climate agreement, adopted in Paris last year. Marianne Thieme also headed the delegation in Paris.

The Lower House delegations spent several days in Marrakech to witness the further elaboration of the climate agreement. The Lower House members mainly obtained information about what each country will contribute to tackling climate change. The Lower House members will use this information for debating with the government, which will follow the climate top.

Marianne Thieme: “The agreement adopted in Paris last year is promising. In Marrakech, the countries can show that they are serious and intend to make every effort to tackle climate change.

The members of the Lower House spoke with government leaders, officials and climate experts, and attended lectures and workshops. Additionally, the Lower House delegation visited some local, sustainable projects in the Atlas Mountains and Casablanca.
