Worldlog Semaine 43 – 2012

La semaine dernière nous avons eu des vacances d’automne, donc aujourd’hui je peux recommencer toute reposée une semaine dans l’Assemblée nationale néerlandaise. La formation bat toujours son plein. On nous en donne peu de nouvelles. Le Parti populaire de la Liberté et de la Démocratie (VVD) et le Parti du Travail (PvdA) sont toujours en train de négocier. J’espère vous en raconter davantage la semaine prochaine.

Par une enquête du quotidien ‘NRC Handelsblad’ entre autres il s’est révélé que le Parti pour les Animaux reçoit les meilleures critiques de l’arrière-ban: dire que 100 pourcent a un jugement positif à très positif du parti. Cela nous fait du bien. Nous continuons à tenir nos idéaux!

Notre parti a remporté un beau succès dans la commune de Leiden. Cette commune va décourager le lancement des ballons non biodégradables et des ballons avec des fils en plastique pendant les événements et les festivités. C’est à cause de la motion adaptée de notre conseiller municipal Dick de Vos. Lancer des ballons pendant un événement festive semble chouette, mais ces ballons descendent à un certain moment et alors ils peuvent être mortels pour les animaux. C’est-à-dire que les oiseaux et les mammifères marins les prennent souvent pour de la nourriture. Les restes sont mangés et le résultat est que les animaux meurent à cause du plastique dans leurs estomacs. Leiden est la première commune avec une politique de découragement pour les ballons non biodégradables.

Les préparations pour notre fête jubilaire battent son plein. A savoir que le 28 octobre notre parti existe dix ans et alors cela vaut une fête :). Ce sera un bel événement où le documantaire ‘Le lièvre dans le marathon’, qui s’agit des dix ans du Parti pour les Animaux, passera en première. A suivre !

Last week was the Autumn recess, so today I'm completely rested and ready for a new week in the chamber. The government formation is still in full swing, but the public isn't getting much news about it. The People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) are still in negotiations. I hope to have more to tell you next week.

Research by such newspapers as the NRC Handelsblad has shown that the Party for the Animals enjoys the most support from the backbenchers: 100% of the backbench holds a positive to highly positive opinion of the party. That makes us feel good. We will continue to stick to our ideals!

Our party enjoyed some success in the municipality of Leiden. This municipality is going to discourage people from releasing non-biodegradable balloons and from using balloons with plastic strings at events and festivities. This is a result of them accepting a motion by our councilman Dick de Vos. Releasing balloons at a festive event sounds great, but the balloons come back down and hurt animals. Birds and sea creatures often take the balloon fragments for food and eat them, and they die with plastic in their stomachs. Leiden is the first municipality in the Netherlands to have a policy that discourages the use of non-biodegradable balloons.

The preparations for our anniversary celebrations are in full swing. 28 October is our party's 10th year, so it's time for a party 🙂 . It's going to be a great event, plus we're going to premiere the documentary about the Party for the Animals 10 years of existence, called 'The Hare in the Marathon'. To be continued!
