PACMA ottiene il 30% di voti in più per il Congresso che alla fine del 2015

PACMA scrive di nuovo storia nelle elezioni nazionali di domenica 26 giugno. Con un numero, senza precedenti, di oltre 284.000 voti al congresso e 1.200.000 voti per il senato, il partito ha superato di gran lunga il risultato dal dicembre 2015.

Nonostante il gran numero di voti il partito non ottiene alcun seggo in parlamento o senato – una cosa senza precedenti nella storia parlamentare spagnola. Questo è a causa del modo in cui il sistema elettorale ed i distretti elettorali sono regolati in Spagna. PACMA quindi s’impegna per una legge in cui ogni voto vale lo stesso, e con urgenza invita i partiti che hanno ottenuto un seggio per iniziare una riforma della legge elettorale spagnola.

Tuttavia, questo risultato dimostra ancora una volta che PACMA ha un crescente, inarrestabile significato politico, e che anche in Spagna, molte persone danno il loro voto ad un partito che non si concentra principalmente sugl’interessi a breve termine delle persone, ma che difende gli animali, ambiente e la giustizia sociale.

Alle prossime elezioni europee, con questo risultato PACMA sarebbe presente nel Parlamento europeo, che sarebbe una pietra miliare nella storia dei diritti degli animali in Spagna.

PACMA writes history again in the national elections of Sunday the 26th of June. With an unprecedented number of over 284,000 votes for the Congress and 1,200,000 votes for the Senate, the party has largely exceeded the result of December 2015.

Despite the large number of votes, the party is not awarded any seats in the parliament – unprecedented in Spanish parliamentary history. This is because of how the electoral system and the electoral district work in Spain. PACMA is therefore aiming for a law in which every vote is worth the same and it urges the parties which were given a seat to start reforming the Spanish electoral law.

But this result has again shown that PACMA is growing unstoppably and that also in Spain many people vote for a party that is not in the first instance focussed on short-term human interest, but that stands up for animals, the environment and social justice.

In the next European elections this result would mean that PACMA will be represented in the European Parliament, which would be a milestone in the history of animals rights in Spain.
