Aprobación del programa electoral y la lista de candidatos en el congreso del partido
El pasado domingo 27 de noviembre, durante el congreso celebrado a tal efecto, los afiliados al partido aprobaron el programa electoral y la lista de candidatos del Partido por los Animales para las elecciones generales al parlamento holandés del próximo 15 de marzo de 2017. El congreso atrajo muchas visitas: más de 500 afiliados se desplazaron al centro de conferencias Zonheuvel, en la localidad de Doorn, para vivir en persona el evento.
Con la presentación del programa, titulado “Plan B”, el Partido por los Animales inicia su campaña electoral. El programa incluye más de 550 medidas para una gestión política radicalmente distinta y tiene en cuenta los intereses del planeta en su conjunto.
La lista de 50 candidatos vuelve a estar encabezada por Marianne Thieme, seguida en segundo lugar por la diputada Esther Ouwehand. La lista incluye además un gran número de apoyos en los puestos de retaguardia, entre otros Johan de Haas, artista de 93 años, y Malou Herstel, estudiante y miembro de PINK! de 16 años. Con ellos, el Partido por los Animales tiene tanto al candidato de más edad como a la candidata más joven. Ambos actúan como embajadores de nuestro Plan B para las generaciones futuras.
La lista del Partido por los Animales vuelve a incluir, además, un gran número de líderes de opinión, artistas y científicos dispuestos a actuar como candidatos-embajadores, entre ellos diversos escritores galardonados: Charlotte Mutsaers, Maarten Biesheuvel, A.F.Th. van der Heijden, Jan Siebelink, Mensje van Keulen y Bibi Dumon Tak.
Además de Ewald Engelen, catedrático de geografía financiera, representan al mundo de la ciencia Peter Nicolaï, catedrático, Frank Berendse, catedrático y abogado especializado en derecho administrativo y del Estado, y Eva Meijer, investigadora del medioambiente y estudiante de doctorado en filosofía.
Otros nombres populares entre los candidatos-embajadores son Teske de Schepper, cantante y videobloguera, Annemarie Postma, escritora, y Jan-Peter Cruiming y Volkert Engelsman, empresarios. También apoyan al partido con su presencia en la lista las actrices Babette van Veen y Georgina Verbaan, el cantante y compositor Jan Rot, el cantante Dinand Woesthoff, la escritora Mirjam Rotenstreich y la presentadora Annemiek Schrijver.
El Partido por los Animales se congratula por contar con el apoyo de tantas personalidades eminentes, el cual ha tenido gran importancia para nosotros desde la campaña de 2006, cuando nos convertimos en el primer partido en la historia en conseguir representación parlamentaria sin establecer como prioritarios los intereses a corto plazo de las personas.

At the Party Congress on Sunday the 27th of November last, the party members adopted the election programme and candidate list of the Party for the Animals for the Lower House election on the 15th of March 2017. The congress attracted many visitors: over 500 members travelled to the Zonheuvel Conference Centre in Doorn to attend the election congress.
The planet-wide election programme ‘Plan B’ is the start of the election campaign of the Party for the Animals. The planet-wide programme contains more than 550 measures to radically change the policy.
The candidate list with 50 names will again be led by leading candidate Marianne Thieme, followed by MP Esther Ouwehand in the second place. Additionally, there is many candidates at the bottom of the candidate list, including the 93-year-old artist Johan de Haas and the 16-year-old student and PINK! member Malou Herstel. With these two candidates, the Party for the Animals has the youngest as well as the oldest candidate on the list, who both propagate the importance of Plan B for future generations.
Furthermore, the Party for the Animals found many opinion leaders, artists and scientists prepared to put their names at the bottom of the candidate list. Including winners of literary awards: Charlotte Mutsaers, Maarten Biesheuvel, A.F.Th. van der Heijden, Jan Siebelink, Mensje van Keulen, and Bibi Dumon Tak.
From the field of science, the Party for the Animals is represented by Professor of Financial Geography Ewald Engelen, Professor at the faculty of Constitutional and Administrative Law Peter Nicolaï, Professor and environmental scientist Frank Berendse and PhD student of philosophy Eva Meijer.
Furthermore, there are names like Teske de Schepper, singer and vlogger, Annemarie Postma, author, and Jan-Peter Cruming and Volkert Engelsman, enterpreneurs, at the bottom of the candidate list. Also, actresses Babette van Veen and Georgina Verbaan, singer and composer Jan Rot, singer Dinand Woesthoff, author Mirjam Rotenstreich, and presenter Annemiek Schrijver support our party and have put their names at the bottom of the list.
The Party for the Animals is pleased that many prominent people support it. Their support has proved to be very important since the party’s campaign of 2006 when it was elected into parliament as the first political party in history that did not opt for short-term human interests as a starting point.
