Municipal Elections March 16 2022 - You can make a difference: vote!

Did you know you are allowed to vote in the upcoming elections?

We would like to include you in our fight for our planet and -all- its inhabitants. All our work and all our solutions have a planet-wide focus. That makes us unique and the perfect party for everyone, regardless of country of origin. Please read all information on what we want and how to vote below, and take a stand on 16 March. For animals. For people. For yourself. For our children and grandchildren. For the planet.

Party for the Animals - Plan B: because there is no planet B

The Party for the Animals is concerned with one thing and one thing only: our planet and all its inhabitants.

We stand for a beautiful, healthy environment, with clean air, clean water, and fertile soil. For a sustainable, social society in which people live in harmony with each other, their environment, and animals. Where we take care of those who are less fortunate, treat each other equally and protect what is truly valuable - healthcare, education, art, nature, environment, climate, and human and animal rights. A society in which the long-term well-being of all, not the economic gain and short-term interests of the few, take centre stage.

We take a planet-wide, eco-centric perspective as our starting point. And in that, we are unique.

Improve the world, start close to home: in your municipality!

We are at an important crossroads in history. Our environment is in very bad shape and many people are rightly worried about the climate crisis and loss of nature. Our current economic growth model is ravaging our planet and inflicting immense suffering on people and animals. The Party for the Animals is fully committed to changing course – starting close to home. For only when politics works hand in hand with citizens to change course can we keep the earth habitable for humans and animals alike.

We can all make a difference, especially in our own living environment, close to home. And that is exactly what our Plan B proposes - making radically different choices for positive change and creative solutions. Not just for tomorrow, but for a shared future on this beautiful planet.

Choosing and sharing fairly

We choose a municipality where people and animals can live a pleasant life, where the general interest takes precedence over commerce and where there is room for all residents and future generations. Where livelihoods are secured, with affordable housing for all, and a fair, clean and regional economy in which environmental pollution and destruction of nature are restricted. A healthy, heat-resistant, and future-proof municipality with lots of greenery and clean air. One with a flourishing art and culture sector. A society in which everyone is equal, and racism, discrimination and inequality of opportunity are tackled effectively. An open, transparent municipality in which residents truly have a say and everyone’s privacy is protected.

That is why we want the municipality to:

  • recognise the climate and nature crisis and be climate neutral by 2030 latest
  • protect nature; restrict tree felling, refrain from using poison and make streets, gardens and roofs greener
  • pay more attention to the care and shelters for pets and wildlife and reserve more space for animals when creating and maintaining greenery
  • put an end to hunting on municipal land
  • do everything to make housing affordable and comfortable. There is no place for slumlords and speculators
  • cherish inclusivity and tackle discrimination and racism, so that everyone can freely be themselves
  • stimulate urban agriculture to produce organic and plant-based food. A vegetable patch in every neighbourhood!
  • prioritise cyclists, pedestrians, and sustainable modes of public transport; cars are merely guests
  • make plans with, instead of for residents; from now on participation really means collaboration!
  • focus on ecological and social growth and prosperity. Economic growth is no longer the goal
  • be cleaner; no more litter and unwanted advertising materials, and with a great air quality

So take a stand and vote on 16 March. For animals. For people. For yourself. For our children and grandchildren. For the planet.
