Según los investigadores de Privacy Barometer el Partido para los Animales es el partido que protege más los derechos de privacidad los ciudadanos Holandeses. De los votos por el Partido para los Animales resulta que de todos los partidos políticos nuestro partido considera la privacidad como lo más importante. Estamos muy contentos con este reconocimiento y también en el futuro seguiremos siendo firmes por el derecho de la privacidad. El Partido entre otras cosas está a favor de un endurecimiento de la Ley para la Protección de Datos personales y contra el Registro Electrónico y el scan del cuerpo.
Buenas noticias para el ganso gris y el ganso de frente blanca. Por una moción presentada por el Partido para los Animales a estos animales ya no se pueden cazar libremente. Una mayoría del Parlamento apoyo la moción que Marianne Thieme presento antes y que durante su licencia de maternidad fue presentada de nuevo por Anja Hazekamp. Con esto fue bloqueada la intención del secretario del estado Bleker para abrir la caza a tales tipos de gansos protegidos.
La nueva ley para la naturaleza abre las puertas a Bleker para abrir fuego al ganso gris y el ganso de frente blanca. Bajo las reglas actuales en Holanda son cinco las especies que se pueden cazar libremente: liebres, faisanes, patos silvestres, conejos y palomas taraces. El secretario de estado también quisiera que sea libre la caza de gansos. El gobierno pretende que sea más fácil y más barato para manejar a los gansos y para evitar daños, pero niega que la caza altere sobre todo a los procesos naturales y no la regula del todo. La limitación de la caza para pasatiempos por la que lucharon los protectores de los animales durante anos, se terminara de una vez. La moción que presento el Partido para los Animales ha logrado evitar esto.
El Partido para los Animales está en contra de la caza de gansos ya que la matanza de animales no implica ninguna garantía para la disminución de la cantidad de gansos en el futuro ni tampoco para un menor daño a los cultivos agrícolas. Las investigaciones realizadas por biólogos acerca del comportamiento de los animales han demostrado que los invitados no deseados en ciertas áreas se pueden combatir estructuralmente con métodos relativamente simples.
El secretario del estado Bleker se ha expresado en repetidas ocasiones en favor de una significante ampliación de la caza del número de especies de animales. Aceptando esta moción el Parlamento le llamo con anticipación a la orden.
Nuestra representante provincial en la provincia de Zuid-Holland, Carla van Viegen, ha sido nombrada como política más verde de la provincia! La Federación para Naturaleza y Medio Ambiente de Zuid-Holland le otorgo este premio por su gran trabajo en el terreno de los animales, la naturaleza y el medio ambiente en el Consejo Provincial. Una de las cosas que logro fue que el bienestar animal se integrara como una prioridad en el nuevo acuerdo de la Coalición. Una muy buena noticia!

According to researchers of the Privacy Barometer, the Party for the Animals does the best job of protecting the privacy of Dutch citizens. The research studied the voting behaviour among all political parties and concluded that the Party for the Animals placed the most importance on privacy. We are delighted with this recognition and we will continue to stand firm in the future for people’s right to privacy. For example, the Party for the Animals supports a tightening of the Personal Data Protection Act and is against the electronic patient record and the bodyscan.
Good news for the greylag goose and the greater white-fronted goose. Thanks to a motion by the Party for the Animals, it will not be possible to hunt animals without restriction. A House majority supported the motion which was initially submitted by Marianne Thieme and again by Anja Hazekamp during Marianne’s leave, effectively blocking State-Secretary Bleker’s plans to open the hunt on this protected species of goose.
With the new Nature Act, Bleker is literally taking aim at the greylag goose and the greater white-fronted goose. Under the current rules, five animals species may be hunted in the Netherlands without restriction: hares, pheasants, mallards, rabbits and the common wood pigeon. The state secretary now wishes to add geese to this list. The government takes the attitude that the unrestricted hunting of geese would make it easier to control them and prevent damage, but keeps silent about the fact that unrestricted hunting will especially disrupt natural processes and certainly not regulate them. The restrictions to recreational hunting that animal protectionists have been fighting for years would be shot to ribbons just like that. The Party for the Animal’s motion was able to prevent this from happening.
The Party for the Animals is against the unrestricted hunting of geese as culling in this manner offers no guarantee whatsoever of a reduction in geese numbers in the future or any guarantee of less damage to agricultural crops. Behavioural biologists have demonstrated that relatively simple methods can be used to keep unwelcome visitors way from specific areas on a permanent basis.
State-Secretary Bleker has repeatedly argued for a substantial expansion of the number of animal species subject to unrestricted hunting. By adopting this motion, the Lower House has given the state-secretary an advance warning.
Our representative from the province of South-Holland Carla van Vliegen has been pronounced South-Holland’s greenest politician! The South-Holland Nature and Environment Federation has awarded this prize to Carla owing to her enormous dedication to animals, nature and the environment in the Provincial Council. It was Carla, for example, who saw to it that animal welfare was included as a spearhead in the new coalition agreement. Excellent news!
