El PACMA consigue un 30 % más de votos que en diciembre de 2015

El PACMA volvió a hacer historia en las elecciones generales del domingo 26 de junio. Con más de 284.000 votos para el Congreso y 1.200.000 para el Senado, el Partido Animalista de España superó ampliamente sus resultados de diciembre de 2015.

A pesar del alto número de votos, el PACMA no obtiene ningún escaño en el Congreso ni en el Senado, un hecho único en la historia parlamentaria de España. La explicación hay que buscarla en la ley electoral española, que divide el país en distintas circunscripciones. Por ello, el PACMA lucha por una ley en la que todos los votos valgan lo mismo y urge a los partidos que sí han conseguido representación parlamentaria a poner en marcha el cambio de la ley electoral.

Pero a pesar de todo, este resultado vuelve a demostrar que el peso político del PACMA sigue creciendo y que ya no hay quien lo pare. En España también hay mucha gente que prefiere votar a un partido cuya prioridad no son los intereses del hombre a corto plazo y que da la cara por los animales, el medioambiente y la justicia social.

En las siguientes elecciones europeas, este resultado significaría que el PACMA entraría en el Parlamento Europeo, lo cual supondría un hito en la historia de los derechos de los animales en España.

PACMA writes history again in the national elections of Sunday the 26th of June. With an unprecedented number of over 284,000 votes for the Congress and 1,200,000 votes for the Senate, the party has largely exceeded the result of December 2015.

Despite the large number of votes, the party is not awarded any seats in the parliament – unprecedented in Spanish parliamentary history. This is because of how the electoral system and the electoral district work in Spain. PACMA is therefore aiming for a law in which every vote is worth the same and it urges the parties which were given a seat to start reforming the Spanish electoral law.

But this result has again shown that PACMA is growing unstoppably and that also in Spain many people vote for a party that is not in the first instance focussed on short-term human interest, but that stands up for animals, the environment and social justice.

In the next European elections this result would mean that PACMA will be represented in the European Parliament, which would be a milestone in the history of animals rights in Spain.
